Discovery Island has a prom for their graduating class every year.  It was last night, and Maddie was so excited.

Flower bed progress

When I posted the before & after pics of the weeding I’d done in the flower bed, it still looked so dull.  The azaleas have bloomed and it seems to have come alive.  Jeremy also put in more than 15 bags of new mulch, along with some edging to keep everything from washing out onto the sidewalk.

We have a busy weekend ahead.  Tomorrow night is Maddie’s pre-k prom (Yes, pre-k PROM!) and Riley is spending the night with a friend.  Jeremy’s birthday is Sunday so we’ll try to fit in something for him, but it’ll be hard because he has to work Friday and Saturday.  Gotta get that gift I’ve been thinking about for awhile….I’m running out of time!

T-ball season is in full swing.  We’re practicing twice a week right now, and in a couple of weeks the games will start.  Thank goodness the girls are on the same team!  Lots of pictures will come, I’m sure.

 

       

Yard work (is for the birds)

I’ve been needing to do a lot of cleaning in the flower bed disaster area that is in front of our home.  Jeremy helped me get it started and then he conveniently had to go to work.  A conspiracy? I think so!

I have a couple of things to plant, but I can’t find my shovel.  And, well, I’m sort of TIRED!

One white twin sized bed, made up in pink and green and moved in!  I was beginning to think we’d never get it into the bedroom.

Gotta get busy on the second bed so they won’t have to sleep on opposite ends of this one for more than a few nights!!! (Hint to Daddy!)
